Balance Covid-19: Minsal reports 6,074 new cases and 113 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 6,074 new cases, of which 3,564 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,065 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,445 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.

In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,470,936 and the recovered patients reached 3,392,642 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.

On the other hand, the death of 113 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 56,580 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 7.36% nationwide.

As for active cases, these reached 24,060 people and PCR tests amounted to 82,092 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 35,500,472.

Meanwhile, there are 589 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 438 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,362 critical beds enabled and 344 critical beds available.

Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 6.79%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Biobío, La Araucanía and Maule.
