The Ministry of Health detailed 4,050 new cases, of which 2,280 correspond to symptomatic people and 413 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,357 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,945,425. and recovered patients reached 4,859,933. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 8 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,605 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 12.9% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 8,194 people and the PCR tests amounted to 26,031 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,220,855.
Meanwhile, there are 132 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 93 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,830 critical beds enabled and 267 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 12.21%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Los Lagos, Antofagasta and Arica and Parinacota.
