Balance Covid-19: Minsal reports 3,847 new cases and 23,830 tests in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health detailed 3,847 new cases, of which 2,116 correspond to symptomatic people and 516 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,215 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.

In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,975,862. and recovered patients reached 4,886,887. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.

The death of 27 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,822 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.11% nationwide.

Regarding active cases, these reached 10,653 people and PCR tests amounted to 23,830 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,400,798.

Meanwhile, there are 111 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 88 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,831 critical beds enabled and 313 critical beds available.

Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 12.44%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Arica and Parinacota, O’Higgins, Antofagasta and Tarapacá.
