The Ministry of Health detailed 3,541 new cases, of which 3,245 correspond to symptomatic people and 296 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,065 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 5,078,573 and recovered patients reached 4,990,007 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 51 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 63,437 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 14.39% nationwide.
Regarding active cases, these reached 8,329 people and PCR tests amounted to 19,509 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,881,949.
Meanwhile, there are 119 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 90 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,809 critical beds enabled and 191 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 14.65%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Coquimbo, Antofagasta and Tarapacá.
