The Ministry of Health detailed 3,323 new cases, of which 1,843 correspond to symptomatic people and 408 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,072 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,953,194. and recovered patients reached 4,865,520. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 24 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,683 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 12.54% nationwide.
Regarding active cases, these reached 10,047 people and PCR tests amounted to 22,598 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,268,850.
Meanwhile, there are 127 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 91 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,829 critical beds enabled and 259 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 12.25%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Los Lagos.
