The Ministry of Health detailed 3,067 new cases, of which 1,727 correspond to symptomatic people and 354 did not present symptoms. In addition, 986 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,958,816. and recovered patients reached 4,872,414 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 7 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,715 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.51% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 8,631 people and the PCR tests amounted to 18,998 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,302,223.
Meanwhile, there are 126 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 81 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,833 critical beds enabled and 261 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 12.31%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Los Lagos.
