The Ministry of Health detailed 2,092 new cases, of which 1,396 correspond to symptomatic people and 104 did not present symptoms. In addition, 592 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,987,847. and recovered patients reached 4,901,307. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 2 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,905 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.72% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 7,885 people and the PCR tests amounted to 10,636 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,467,429.
Meanwhile, there are 108 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 73 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,834 critical beds enabled and 308 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 12.64%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta, O’Higgins and Tarapacá.
