Balance Covid-19: Minsal reports 1,774 new cases and 32 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health detailed 1,774 new cases, of which 1,180 correspond to symptomatic people and 91 did not present symptoms. In addition, 503 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.

In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 5,089,405 and recovered patients reached 5,001,387. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.

The death of 32 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 63,541 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 10.09% nationwide.

Regarding active cases, these reached 6,740 people and PCR tests amounted to 10,432 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,940,944.

Meanwhile, there are 128 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 97 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,806 critical beds enabled and 283 critical beds available.

Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 10.14%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Coquimbo, Maule, Biobío and La Araucanía.
