The Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported in a new balance that 1,585 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. Of these, 1,493 correspond to people with symptoms and 92 asymptomatic.
Of the new cases, 68% are diagnosed by antigen test, 22% are caused by Active Case Search (BAC) and 8% of those notified are asymptomatic.
The cases were obtained from 11,739 tests, of which 8.34% were positive at the national level and 8.18% in the Metropolitan Region. In addition, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Biobío, Metropolitana, O’Higgins and Los Ríos.
Regarding the health service, there are currently 1,764 critical beds enabled and 312 available. As for the sanitary residences, there are 133 beds in total and 56 available.
On the other hand, 18 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours, reaching the figure of 64,085 since the start of the pandemic.
