The Ministry of Health delivered a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where 3,775 new cases were reported, of which 2,397 correspond to symptomatic people and 388 did not present symptoms. In addition, 970 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,572,350 and recovered patients reached 4,488,522 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of eight people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 60,830 since the start of the pandemic. Positivity reached 8.89% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 14,625 people and the PCR tests were 41,668 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 44,603,908.
Meanwhile, there are 131 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 79 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,942 critical beds enabled and 293 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 10.70%, while the regions with the highest positivity in the last seven days are O’Higgins, La Araucanía, Biobío and Maule.
