Bahia announces reinforcement package for the 2023 season

Brazilian teams continue to strengthen for next season. One of the most active at the moment is Bahia, which this year sold part of its Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) to City Football Group, owner of Manchester City.

To get a measure of how Tricolor is strengthening for the 2023 season, when it returns to play in Serie A of the Brazilian Championship, only this Wednesday (28th) did the club announce striker Everaldo, goalkeeper Marcos Felipe and defender David Duarte. A day earlier, Bahia had already confirmed the purchase of Gabriel Teixeira, formerly of Fluminense.

Also this Wednesday, Vasco announced the deal with left-back Lucas Piton. The 22-year-old player, who was at Corinthians, signed a contract with Cruzmaltino until December 2026.

Another team to announce the hiring of a left-back was Corinthians. The Parque São Jorge team signed a contract with Matheus Bidu, 23, until the end of 2025.

In São Paulo, the novelty was the confirmation of the deal with attacking midfielder Marcos Paulo. Trained at Fluminense, the 21-year-old player arrives on loan at Atlético de Madrid (Spain).
