A baby, just a year and a half, died because, allegedly, he ingested gasoline that was packaged in a bottle of soda.
The tragic event was recorded in the afternoon of this Tuesday, February 4 in the trunk urbanization III of Barcelona, Anzoátegui state, a local media reported.
According to the authorities’ report, it was known that during an oversight of her parents, the little girl found a soda container, which contained fuel.
Without knowing that it was gasoline, the little girl would have ingested the liquid, which caused severe damage.
Upon realizing the baby’s situation, her parents immediately transferred her to the Fifth Trunconal Ambulatory, but due to her condition, the medical staff had to refer to the Luis Razetti hospital in the capital of Anzoatiguense.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, they could not save the child’s life.
