According to Lieutenant Colonel Jairo Sanabria Vargas, head of the Protection and Special Services Section of the Cali Metropolitan Police, the site personnel noticed the absence of the minor and, when reviewing the security cameras, They discovered that a six-year-old boy was the one who took the baby from his crib and took him to a ditch within the same place.
“The Metropolitan Police regrets the case, in which they reported to the institution the death of a 70-day-old infant at the Valle del Lili clinic, which came from the Chiquitines Foundation, an institution run by the ICBF. For its part, Edward Hernández, representative representative of Cali, expressed concern about the protection of children’s rights, especially in places that must ensure the safety of minors.
