Victoria, the one and a half year old baby who was attacked by a pitbull dog in Lascano (Rocha) almost a month ago, is recovering favorablyalthough he continues to travel to Montevideo to have check-ups with the surgeon and otolaryngologist.
The baby’s mother, Angie Velázquez, said that her daughter “it is evolving quite welleverything has been turning out well and now what remains is for her to continue going to control”, in dialogue with Telenoche (Channel 4).
On May 28, Victoria approached the dog with which lived together and went attacked, which caused him head injuries. The baby was diagnosed with “serious polytrauma” and a “momentary loss of consciousness”.
A neighbor had to give several stab wounds to the dog to make it release the girlanother neighbor jumped over the fence to assist the baby. “Without them today I would not have my daughter”acknowledged the mother of the victim.
In the coming days, Victoria will return to Montevideo to have a consultation with the surgeon and although he is recovering favorably, the family does not know if he still has to perform any surgery, although it would be in the future. The baby is still unable to “raise her head or turn to her sides,” her mother said.
