The leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met this Saturday in Tehran with the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

Ayatollah Khamenei, during the meeting held with the Venezuelan president and the delegation accompanying him, underlined the resistance of Iran and Venezuela in the face of strong pressure and the hybrid war from the US, later emphasizing that “the successful experience of the two countries showed that the only way to deal with these pressures is resistance and perseverance”, according to the site english.khamenei.ir citing statements by the Leader of Iran at various events.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the victory of the Government and people of Venezuela in the difficult battle against the United States and the hybrid and comprehensive war that had been waged against Venezuela and, addressing the president of this country, stressed that “the resistance of your Excellency and of the Venezuelan people is very valuable, since it elevates the dignity, worth and merit of the country and its leaders, and today, the American vision of Venezuela is different than in the past.”

“Your resistance and that of the people of Venezuela is very valuable because it enhances the value, status and merits of a nation and a country, as well as its leaders.”

He welcomed a 20-year association agreement signed between Tehran and Caracas with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, stressing that the governments of Iran and Venezuela should further strengthen their relationship.

Battle against the so-called “maximum pressure”

During the meeting, which was also attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, the Venezuelan president thanked Iran for its support to the people of his country in their tough battle against US pressure.

The Leader of Iran highlighted the scientific and technological advances and achievements that the Islamic Republic has achieved in recent years and stressed that this could be achieved “in a situation in which the harshest and unprecedented sanctions and pressures were imposed on the nation Iranian, something that the Americans themselves called ‘maximum pressure’”.

In this regard, he stressed that “The resistance of the Iranian people led to the failure of the ‘maximum pressure’ policy, in such a way that one of the prominent political officials of the United States recently used the term ‘abject failure'” for said policy. , launched by former President Donald Trump to crash Iran’s economy.

Maduro visits expo on Iranian achievements

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, visits an exhibition on the capabilities and achievements of Iranian knowledge-based companies.

Accompanied by his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, the president paid a visit this Saturday to the latest achievements of Iranian companies operating in the fields of health, food safety, oil and gas.

The presidents of the two countries also closely monitored the activities and achievements of Iranian oil companies in the fields of exploration, extraction, petrochemicals, and artificial intelligence in the energy supply chain.

Maduro, at the head of a high-level delegation, arrived in the Iranian capital on Friday, Tehran, the third leg of his Eurasian tour, with stops in Turkey and Algeria.
