The governor from the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicilloalso announced “the creation of discussion forums that allow the drafting of a Comprehensive Law for the Promotion and Protection of Young People.”
During the event, Axel Kicillo He was accompanied by the Ministers of Community Development, Andrés Larroque, and Transport, Jorge D’Onofrio; by the executive director of ANSES, Fernanda Raverta, and the provincial director of Youth, Ayelén López.
Before officials and mayors, the governor stated that, with the expansion of the student ticket, a response is given to a demand that university students have raised for several years.
“We have already made the student ticket a reality in all the universities in the metropolitan area; now we will expand it to universities in the interior of the province”said the president.
at the time, the leader he stressed: “Our agenda is none other than the needs of our people, many of which have been reflected in a history of struggle and resistance.”
In this way, the benefit will be extended in stages to the municipalities where the SUBE system is used, such as Bahía Blanca, Balcarce, Coronel Rosales, General Pueyrredón, Junín, Necochea, Olavarría, Pergamino, San Nicolás and Tandil.
Who can access the university ticket
To access this benefit from the provincial government, it is a requirement to reside in the province of Buenos Aires at a distance greater than two thousand meters (2,000 m) from the educational establishment and be a regular student.
It is also necessary not to have a university or tertiary degree, to have passed at least three subjects during the previous year and one subject in the immediately preceding semester. In the case of students who are in the first year of the degree, they must prove that they have completed the intermediate level and have no pending subjects.
