Awarded the 2022 Literary Critics Awards

As part of the activities of the 31st Havana International Book Fair, the Literary Critics Awards were presented today. The distinction, sponsored by the Cuban Book Institute (ICL) and the Dulce María Loynaz Cultural Center, is awarded to the most relevant books published by Cuban publishers during 2021-2022.

On this occasion, the jury was made up of the writers Emmanuel Tornés, Israel Domínguez, Ricardo Alberto Pérez, Jesús David Curbelo and Arturo Arango, its president. After reading seventy-three titles, the following books were unanimously awarded:

And by majority: The last cows will die by Ulises José Rodríguez Febles (Union Editions), Afro-Caribbean griffins speaking, by Laura Ruiz (Casa de las Américas Publishing Fund); round trip, by Reinaldo Montero (Cuban Letters); Collateral damage, by Damaris Calderón (Matanzas Editions); When baseball looks like movies, by Norberto Codina (ICAIC Editions) and new roads, by Víctor Fowler (Letras Cubanas Editorial.)

The delivery ceremony took place at the San Gerónimo University College in Havana.
