It was recently known that since November 9 the Peruvians will be able to enter the UK without the need to apply for a visa. The extension of the trip must be for a period of less than six months.
This measure applies to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and seeks, among other things, to boost trade and investment opportunities.
The British ambassador in Lima, Gavin Cook, pointed out that Peru is a friendly and ally country and that the measure will strengthen bilateral relations. Likewise, he revealed that during the last 12 months, 4,000 visas were granted to Peruvians who traveled to the United Kingdom, and that 50,000 British tourists arrive in Peru each year.
