HIGH EXPECTATION
Congressman Alejandro Cavero was enthusiastic about the great reception that the ‘No to the Constituent Assembly’ collection campaign has had throughout the country.
“Titanic task of collecting more than 600,000 signatures from Peruvians committed to their democracy. Let’s stay strong in this battle! ”, He wrote on his Twitter account after the meeting.
According to the members of the movement, the next thing will be to wait for the bill of citizen origin to pass the required filters and, if approved by the Constitution Commission, to be referred to the Plenary Session of Congress for debate.
For her part, Congresswoman Adriana Tudela has stated on several occasions that she is against a new Constitution and the need to commit to reforms.
“The Constituent Assembly represents the destruction of the rule of law. It means creating a body with absolute power without counterweights that will be able to decide on our rights and freedoms and that is inadmissible in our democracy, ”he said.
