The automotive exports of Mexico amounted to 15,245.6 million dollars in August 2022, this implied a year-on-year growth of 42.5%, according to the history of the inegi (National Institute of Statistic and Geography).
This value was also the highest recorded so far this year.
Automotive exports have progressively improved after the effects of the covid-19 pandemic and because of the global shortage of chips semiconductors.
This advance in automotive shipments abroad is good news because the automotive industry, in general, is one of the most important in Mexico’s total GDP.
