They are focused within the framework of the BIS Program of the Care Directorate of the Ministry of Social Development, in coordination with the Coordinating Council for Early Childhood Education (CCEPI).
The educational space “Autism and Early Childhood: keys to promote participation and learning” is located in the line of action of professional development, inter-institutional articulation and optimization of resources through local alliances to achieve quality education.
The activity carried out at the BPS Study Center had the objective of promoting the understanding of autism from a rights-based approach and in tune with the perspective of Inclusive Education, to characterize possible manifestations of autism in early childhood, emphasizing timely detection and early intervention, as well as offering reference frameworks and practical strategies to promote educational inclusion processes.
The work modality was expository and interactive with the participants and was developed in a hybrid, face-to-face and virtual format, being possible thanks to the technical support of the staff of the BPS Study Center.
The training instance included a subgroup work space between the various educational teams, which fostered the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as the exercise of putting shared strategies into practice to promote the participation and learning of all children, with particular emphasis on girls and boys with autism.
It is noteworthy the interest and commitment to the theme of the teams of the early childhood educational centers that participated, as well as of references from Mides for the articulation of this activity.
