Some 710 cattle have been recovered through operational and preventive actions so far in 2022, the National Police reported.
These cattle, which maintained complaints of theft and robbery, were located after the timely alert and intelligence and information actions carried out by the police units in coordination with the Public Ministry.
In the month of January, 135 cattle were recovered, 74 in February, 111 in April, 58 in May, 134 in June, 15 in July, 34 in August and 05 so far in September.
These results occurred in the provinces of Herrera, Los Santos, Panamá Oeste, Veraguas and Chiriquí, where the Cattle Patrol is also implemented, which carries out preventive tours in the producing farms.
Likewise, the joint work of the National Police with the livestock sector is highlighted, through Cattlemen Vigilantes, which has 34 programs nationwide benefiting more than 3,422 unionized cattlemen.
