Authorities receive 158 migrants deported by the US: 18 are boys and girls

On August 13, 183 deported migrants were received at Maiquetía International Airport, on a flight that stopped in Honduras. The authorities reiterated their commitment “to the protection and well -being of their citizens, facilitating their return and ensuring that they receive the necessary attention when they reach the country”


The afternoon of this Friday, August 15, the Venezuelan authorities received a deportation flight with 158 migrants, including 18 boys and girls, from Texas, United States.

This was reported by the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace in their social networks. According to A publication118 men, 22 women, 11 boys and seven girls arrived on the flight.

The Ministry indicated that since February “more than 10 thousand nationals” have returned to the country, as part of the agreement achieved with the US authorities. «After their landing, repatriated migrants in Venezuela go through a migratory tunnel, where each person is interviewed to review their case; Then they receive medical care (…) and then be transferred to their homes by the security bodies ».
