The authorities intensified the search for Valeria Afanador, the 10 -year -old girl disappeared since last Tuesday in Cajicá, Cundinamarca.

The authorities increased the reward to 70 million pesos for information about Valeria Afanador, the missing girl in Cajicá.

Reinforcement in the search team

In addition to the increase in the reward, the personnel destined for the search operation were determined. While 200 officials from relief agencies participated until today, starting tomorrow the team will be made up of 300 rescuersamong members of the Civil Defense, Red Cross, Firefighters and Rescue Police.

The work is not only concentrated in the urban center of Cajicá, but also in surrounding sectors. For example, rescuers made an exhaustive tour of the slopes of the Frío River, reviewing each section of the tributary and its surroundings in search of clues that allow the child to be located.

“There have been 17 entities, more than 205 people, 10 specialized canines, an ambulance, 10 vehicles, 2 drones and boats, all under the coordination of the Departmental Risk Management Unit, Municipal Risk Management, the Departmental Government Secretariat, the Secretariat of Security and Coexistence and the Mayor’s Office of Cajicá, with whom we are united in this search operation,” said Jorge Emilio Rey Ángel Ángel Governor of Cundinamarca

Rumors of Extortion Defers

In social networks, versions indicated that Valeria’s parents would be receiving extortion calls from people who claimed to have the girl. However, the Secretary of Security of Cajicá denied this information, confirming that it is false rumors They seek to generate confusion.

The search not for

Dozens of officials and volunteers from rescue agencies were deployed again in the area. With the support of the community, paths, rural roads and riverside sectors are covered with the aim of finding any trace of the child.

The disappearance De Valeria keeps Cajicá and neighboring municipalities on alert, while the authorities ask citizens to report any relevant information to the official lines of the National Police.
