Dajabón. -The Dominican Government, through the Presidency’s Social Assistance Plan, remains in the border area of Dajabón, assisting families affected by the strong floods that have occurred in a large part of the national territory, the result of a trough.
The collaborators of that entity arrived at that area with the emergency kits, which consist of the delivery of bundles of water, mattresses, sheets, mosquito nets and food rations.
The director of the Social Plan, Yadira Henríquez, reported in a statement that this institution remains vigilant in each of the affected areas, in addition to this first assistance, to evaluate the damage caused to the families and as soon as the waters recede, to begin replace household belongings and other possible damages that could have been caused by bad weather.
