Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez supervised the recovery of the National Electric System (SEN) this Friday from the Guayana Dispatch Center in Bolívar state, following the blackout recorded in the country.
“We are here with the working class, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, restoring electricity service after this criminal attack,” he said, while stressing that this is not the first time that extremist sectors have carried out this type of action.
“Just a month ago, at the time of President Nicolás Maduro’s victory, extremists burned police stations, health centres, schools, attacked people, murdered Venezuelans” as an “expression of hatred, contempt and fascism,” he said in a video on Instagram.
The vice president carried out the inspection in the company of the Minister of Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, and members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
He also called on the population to remain calm.
“There is a President for the country, for its economy and for stability. Also taking into account the impact that it has had on hospitals, on commerce, on transportation, on the daily life of Venezuelans. President Nicolás Maduro is at the forefront, guaranteeing the population that everything will return to normal and to tranquility,” he emphasized.
