Authorities in the department of Cauca are trying to clarify a massacre of three brothers that was recorded in a rural area of the municipality of Bolívar (Cauca).
According to the first information from the authorities, the victims were killed with firearms while they were in a house in the Morales village of the Melchor district, located four hours from the municipal seat.
RCN Mundo consulted the mayor of the municipality of Bolívar (Cauca), Jorge Macíaswho pointed out that The three men were inside the house. when armed men forcibly removed them and later murdered them.
“The incident occurred when An armed group broke into a humble home in the village of Melchor and murdered the three brothers. It is an armed group but we still don’t know why they did it. Everything is part of the investigation that is being carried out at this time, ”said the president.

It is worth mentioning that one of the victims was identified as José Benito Ruano Rivera, 55 years old and who worked as a farmer in that region of the country.
Meanwhile, the other two victims would be José Arcadio Ruano Rivera, 57 years old, and Cayo Ruano Rivera, 59 years old.

The bodies of the victims were taken to the municipal seat and from there transfers to the headquarters of Legal Medicine in the city of Popayán, where the identification process will be carried out.
A special group has already started investigations to determine if this massacre would have been committed by the ELN guerrillas, who commit crimes in that area of the national territory.
