Videos circulating on social media show the moment when Rueda was forcibly taken away by agents of the Puebla Prosecutor’s Office.
Among other alleged crimes, authorities have accused Rueda of alleged operations with funds of illicit origin and criminal association.
Rueda has claimed that he is the victim of political, judicial and media persecution.
In July 2023, the journalist managed to obtain his freedom after a federal judge ordered his release.
