The investigations allowed the Prosecutor’s Office to locate a place in the municipality of Ocoyoacac, in the border area with the municipality of Lerma, used for the commission of crimes, the authority detailed.
Personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office together with elements of the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico, and the Commission for the Search for Persons of the State of Mexico and Civil Protection Directorates of Metepec and Ocoyoacac located indications presumably of human origin, he added.
The evidence will be analyzed and identified by the specialized team of the State of Mexico Prosecutor’s Office.

During the investigations, a search warrant was executed in a property located in the Juárez neighborhood, in the municipality of Ocoyoacac, “which turned out to be used as a safe house for the commission of various crimes by the aforementioned criminal group.”
At that site, a vehicle with a current theft report and excavation tools were found.
The Prosecutor’s Office reiterated that the finding is a consequence “of the investigations that allowed the capture of those likely responsible for these events.”
“Additionally, this cell, which has already been dismantled, is also responsible for the attack on Lerma municipal police personnel on December 23, where two elements of said corporation were injured by a firearm,” he explained.
The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that it will continue with the investigations “to clarify these facts of which it will report in a timely manner.”
