Gallegos was reported as missing on Friday, January 24. A day later, he was located lifeless with firearm impacts.
Governor Javier May was in charge of giving the news, in the midst of the wave of violence that Tabasco is going through.
“I inform the people of Tabasco who, derived from the investigations of the Prosecutor’s Office, has been arrested a male related to the murder of journalist Alejandro Gallegos León,” he said.
“We reiterate our commitment of effective impunity and justice,” he said.
