Autoridades apresan a dos por muerte de segundo teniente de Fuerza Aérea; otros dos siguen prófugos

Santo Domingo. Two of the four people allegedly involved in the shooting death of the second lieutenant of the Dominican Air Force, Bienvenido Reyes Chalas, were arrested.

This was reported this Tuesday by the National Police in a press conference, in which they offered details about the incident, which occurred last Sunday, December 16 in the Hainamosa sector, Santo Este municipality.

The uniformed spokesman, Diego Pesqueira, reported that one of those arrested is the captain of the Armed Forces, Fraylin G. Pérez Conrado. Likewise, he noted that the other person involved was identified as Estiven Herrera, alias “Wilito” and/or “Moto.”

On the other hand, two other participants remain fugitives: Tommy Antonio Ortiz, alias “Jhonci el Mecánico”, and an individual known as “El Gordo”, who are wanted by the authorities to be brought to justice.

What is known

According to the preliminary report, Captain Pérez Conrado would have been the person in charge of locating the victim while he was driving a jeep in which he was traveling with two of the assailants.

Investigations also indicate that the fugitive “El Gordo” was waiting aboard a motorcycle, which was boarded by one of the detainees and the fugitive. Both were transported by Pérez Conrado, who supposedly located the group of people among whom was the victim.

Images captured by security cameras show the development of the tragic event. In them you can see the vehicle driven by Pérez Conrado, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado jeep, year 2011, white, license plate G240236.

That same vehicle was captured twice crossing the place where Reyes Chalas was playing dominoes.

In that sense, Diego Pesqueira indicated that a commission headed by the Department of Complex Crimes of the Santo Domingo Este Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), is working to deepen the investigations to establish the real motive of this fact.

another case

Regarding those involved in the death of Second Lieutenant Gregorio Ramírez Quineda, of the Army of the Dominican Republic, the National Police indicated that they were identified as Juan Alfredo Granado Herrera, nicknamed “El Guardia”, and Juan Gregorio Montas.

The law enforcement institution urged both to surrender through the corresponding channels to avoid confrontations, since, according to reports, they are heavily armed.
