The author of an essay called “How to Murder Your Husband” it was imprisoned for the rest of his life in the United States this Monday due to the death of his partner.
Nancy Crampton Brophy, 71, will be eligible for parole in 25 years, according to an Oregon judge’s decision.
The details of the case were addressed during a month-long trial in which she was accused of buying a gun online to kill her husband and receiving thousands of dollars in life insurance.

The weapon, what she says was bought while researching for a new novelwas never found.
Chef Daniel Brophy was found in June 2018 on a classroom floor at a culinary institute where he worked. He had two bullet wounds.

The author signs a series of novels called “Wrong Never Felt So Right” and which includes titles such as “The Wrong Husband” and “The Wrong Lover”.
She claims she doesn’t remember being there but says she might have been in the neighborhood looking for inspiration for a new work of fiction.

Crampton Brophy denied the murder, and insisted that the years of financial problems were a thing of the past and that she she had no reason to kill her husband.
“Would I ask you where the motivation is? An editor would laugh and say ‘I think you need to do more work on this story, you have a big hole in it,'” he said during his trial.
His lawyers announced that they will appeal the decision.

“But what I know about murder is that every one of us carries it within us when pushed hard enough,” he says.
