The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) changed its position in the last hours and decided that the Commission for the “Yes” in the referendum against the 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC) will be able to carry out a campaign act in the Stadium Centenary next March 12.

According to the journalist Gonzalo Ronchi on Twitter, and confirmed to various media outlets by the vice president of the AUF, Gastón Tealdi, it was decided to lease the premises despite the fact that the request had originally been rejected.

“The regulations limit us to making partisan political advertising at sporting events, but not in stadiums,” Tealdi clarified to Montevideo Portal.
