The lawyer for the PNP captain, Junior Izquierdo, said that his client gave the Prosecutor’s Office a USB with five compromising audios that involve the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santivañez. The audio would reveal that Santivañez was asked to deactivate the DIVIAC so that he could be the Minister of the portfolio.

In the conversation, Juan José Santivañez revealed the requirements that the government of Dina Boluarte supposedly asked him for his appointment. This would be the content of one of the five audios that are in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office. This information is part of a preliminary investigation for alleged abuse of authority.

“I publicly denounce the alleged abuse of authority that the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santivañez Antúnez, is committing against Captain Izquierdo,” said lawyer José Carlos Mejía.
