Messi grabs the Inter Miami trophy after winning the final against Vancouver
The MLS Cup final in which the Inter Miami defeated last Saturday 3-1 Vancouver Whitecaps recorded a record audience of more than 4.6 million viewers across all platforms, the league reported. Fans from at least one hundred countries tuned in at some point to the match, which brought together the youngest audience in the history of a final, with 70% of Apple TV viewers under 45 years of age.
The match, which at the same time marked the retirement of the Catalans and former Barcelona players Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, also registered unprecedented participation on social networks, with 798 million impressions. This is six times more than the impressions of the 2024 final, in which the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the New York Red Bulls.

The MLS also added to its data carousel that the 29 playoff games that have been played this season averaged 711,000 viewers, which represents an increase of 23% compared to a year ago.
