Hooded and armed robbers have violently assaulted the home of Gabonese FC Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Castelldefels (Barcelona).
As El País has advanced and sources close to the case have confirmed to Efe, the violent assault occurred around one in the morning on Monday, August 29, after which the robbers would have fled the place in a car of the brand Audis in white.
Once the thieves have been able to access the interior of the home, they have threatened and beaten the footballer and his partner so that he would open the safe, from which they have taken valuables, for which it has been a consummated violent robbery, according to sources.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to try to identify, locate and arrest the perpetrators of this violent robbery.
For its part, FC Barcelona has provided assistance and support to the footballer, who is well, and to his family, according to sources close to the case.
At Aubameyang’s house there was also a 21-year-old compatriot of his, Babanzila Meshak, who lives at the address, and who has also suffered the assault, so at around six in the morning his representative called the Terrassa football club , in which he plays, to warn that he would not go to train because he was scared by what happened, as his sports director, Miquel Ezequiel, explained to Rac-1.
In the middle of this month of August, another Barça player, Robert Lewandowski, also suffered a robbery, when the luxury watch he was wearing was stolen.
Before entering the Barça sports complex to train, the player lowered the window of his car to sign some autographs for the fans, at which point a man snatched the luxury watch he was wearing on his wrist.
On August 18, the Mossos d’Esquadra with the help of the Local Police of Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona) arrested the alleged perpetrator of this robbery. EFE
