ATTT will restrict permits for transfers of oversized cargo in the national territory

The entity explained that they do it for road safety, mobility and in accordance with the hours that massive vehicle movements are expected.

The Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) reported that permits for transfers of oversized cargo in the national territory are restricted.

This restriction will be from this Friday, February 25, until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 6:00 a.m.

The entity explained that they do it for road safety, mobility and in accordance with the hours that massive vehicle movements are expected.

It should be noted that only cargo vehicles that do not exceed the following measurements may transit: 2.50 meters wide, 20 meters long and 4.15 meters high.

The ATTT reiterated that the rest of the cargo vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers, and vans will be able to circulate regularly and without further restriction, however, for those drivers who are caught violating the regulations, their vehicles will be removed from the roads and sanctioned with Infraction No. 25 of the Traffic Regulations, which states the following: “Transport loads without prior circulation permit or with expired permit”, which grants 5 points to the license and a fine of 500 dollars”.
