ATTT grants extension of driver’s licenses expired in September and October

The provisional suspension of the application of the sanction for contempt, contained in Article 240 of the Traffic Regulations, continues until November 30, 2021, in order to avoid inconveniences that at this time may cause the retention of the license or the vehicle

The Traffic and Land Transportation Authority, in coordination with the National Directorate of Traffic Operations of the National Police, communicates to the general public:

1. That all driver’s licenses with an expiration date in the months of October and November are granted an extension of their validity until November 30, 2021.

2. The provisional suspension of the application of the sanction for contempt, contained in Article 240 of the Traffic Regulations, continues until November 30, 2021, in order to avoid inconveniences that at this time may cause the retention of the license or vehicle.

3. The provisional suspension of the application of the offense for driving with an expired license plate is extended for one more month, until November 30, 2021, this measure applies to vehicles with a license plate whose expiration date corresponds to the months of September and October.
