The Attorney General, Margarita Cabello, spoke out regarding the sanction of dismissal and disqualification imposed against the former chancellor Alvaro Leyva in the case of the tender declared void for the contract for the issuance of passports.
The official explained that Leyva was not an official elected by popular voteso the arguments that seek to distort the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office would not be applicable in this case and requested compliance with the administrative rulings.
“Minister Leyva is not popularly elected, therefore all the issues that have to do with the ruling of the Inter-American Court are not applicable to the case. Judicial decisions and administrative decisions must be compulsorily respected by the authorities and even more so by the high authorities, although they are not shared. That gives peace of mind to an entire society and to the country,” Cabello said.

This is a response to what Leyva said, since The former chancellor announced that they will appeal the decision in the second instance before the office of the attorney general, Margarita Cabello.since it states that the evidence they presented was unknown to the deputy attorney general.
“However, All this evidence was grossly ignored in the ruling thatthat today it is notified and that it will obviously be appealed and, if necessary, sued or denounced before the judges of the Republic, these being autonomous and independent,” said the chancellor.
The former official also sent a taunt to the attorney general, Margarita Cabello, as he stated that It is an official at the expense of the interest of many people who are behind it, He highlighted that during his period in charge of the Attorney General’s Office, he demonstrated that he was not autonomous.
“Hair doesn’t mean anything to me. She is a lady who holds a public position at the natural expense of the interest of many people who are behind her. What she has demonstrated over the course of her mandate is that she is not autonomous. There is always someone behind, there is someone behind,” Leyva highlighted.
The Attorney General’s Office affirmed that the rulings must be respected and reaffirmed that the decisions issued within the framework of administrative processes must be respected and complied with.
