The Attorney General’s Office is maintaining secrecy regarding the two planes that were confiscated in the Dominican Republic from the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, including a last aircraft acquired through front men, in which the president of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez and close associates of the Venezuelan government were supposedly also traveling.

The PGR reported that the institution has handled the case very cautiously and is not providing information, as it is a matter that involves States and must be dealt with through diplomatic channels.

On Wednesday, May 22, Dominican authorities ordered the confiscation of a French-made Falcon aircraft, valued at around $50 million dollars and owned by the Nicolás Maduro regime, at the request of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republicfor alleged violations of sanctions imposed by the United States against the Venezuelan government.

The aircraft was seized by Dominican aeronautical authorities and a departure ban was issued while a major investigation into its mysterious flights is carried out.

The confiscated aircraft is a Falcon 900EX, registration T7-ESPRT, registered in the Republic of San Marino, a small independent nation of 60 square kilometers located within Italy, which is considered a tax haven like Andorra, Luxembourg and the island of Malta.

The plane is registered not as a government aircraft but as a private aircraft, and its registration is often blocked on international flight portals in real time to prevent its identification.

The aircraft has traveled to destinations such as Tehran, Algeria, Bolivia and Brazil, and has numerous flights to Cuba.

Second plane

A second plane linked to the government of Nicolás Maduro, president of Venezuela, is reportedly under military guard at the Higüero-Doctor Joaquín Balaguer International Airport in Santo Domingo.

The PGR is also aware of this case, but has remained silent in the media.
