Attorney General to diplomatic corps: Venezuelan fascism has emerged

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, showed the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela all the evidence collected by the Public Ministry, including photographs of the victims of Venezuelan fascism, which in just 4 hours caused 70 percent of the 25 people who died in the days following July 28.

The head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office asked for respect for the country’s sovereignty and reciprocity from the countries they represent and warned them of the new forms of fascism that have emerged in Venezuela, which have left more than 190 wounded, of which 100 are part of the country’s police and military forces. “I ask for reciprocity as the Attorney General of the Republic with the due respect and affection that many of you deserve,” he said.

“Three weeks ago, Venezuela experienced very painful moments caused by criminal groups hired by fascists who tried to plunge Venezuela into a wave of criminality,” Saab said, showing a video in which the burning of institutions, dead people and even birds that were massacred could be seen.

He said that the so-called “comanditos” were used to perpetrate the violence that lasted only three days and caused 25 deaths, in addition to two victims resulting from road accidents that occurred after the violent events.

“We managed to stop this action in a day and a half, we put an absolute stop to it,” he said, counting the damage that included schools, CNE headquarters, food centers and public transportation.

The prosecutor said he has in his possession a group of 180 videos showing the action of violent demonstrations aimed at destabilizing the country.

He said that 70 percent of the people killed were by criminal groups, and that not a single complaint had been received that they were victims of police officers.

“Literally, of all the victims, 70% were killed by criminal groups. I will say the first major conclusion. None (deaths) attributable to State security forces, none attributable to civil, military or police officials linked to the State. Because we do not have a single complaint,” said Saab.

Showing photographs of the murdered people, he said they were martyrs of the Venezuelan people.

He referred to the “very terrible case of Mayauri Silva, a street boss in Aragua who was vilely murdered in the most brutal way. We already have the convicted and confessed detainees who even said who paid her. Fernando Venancio is already under arrest.”

The events with the National Guard officers were also a reason for Saab’s observation. “What does it have to do with killing National Guardsmen in an electoral contest? They killed two in the most vile way, Sergeant José Torres and National Guardsman Jorman Martínez, murdered in the cruelest way.”

He said that they used handguns to carry out the crimes and that they were not attributed to security forces.

“These are the ‘martyrs of the Venezuelan people, innocent, who fell because of all the expert reports. I will describe them to you, we have placed approximately 60 experts from the Public Ministry dedicated only to this subject. We update every day everything that has been happening, but these are the faces of this violence,” he said.

The prosecutor stressed that most of those involved in the violent events have an extensive criminal record, “they confessed to having received a sum of money for committing violent acts on July 29,” he said.

He also warned that if the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the justice system had not acted promptly, more than 2,500 people would have lost their lives.

Networks do harm

Saab warned about the negative impact of social networks through the systematic bombardment of distorted messages of a reality that goes directly to people’s minds to cognitively attack their conscience, even targeting children. And he stressed that they applied techniques for the “brainwashing” through messages of hate and discrimination using these platforms and hired influencers.

Saab highlighted the current use of social media to cause “brutal damage” and affect people’s minds, even affecting the cognitive part.

He said that what happened in the country before and after July 28 was part of a hybrid war and claimed that it constituted an attempted coup d’état.

He stated that since 1999 the country has been used as a testing ground for hybrid warfare, which includes: coup attempts, embryos of civil war, mass sanctions, Lawfare imposed through institutional coups – executed in 2017 -, as well as the recent use of common criminals.

Likewise, Saab made a retrospective of all the events that have occurred in Venezuela since Commander Hugo Chávez came to power, recalling that fascism has been present in all the acts of violence that have caused deaths, 40 people burned alive and the attempted assassination of President Maduro in 2018, on a platform where all the representatives of the Public Powers were present.

In light of this situation, he reminded the diplomatic corps present that the theft of the nation’s financial resources abroad has been achieved.

The prosecutor pointed out that mercenaries have even been used, as was the case in Operation Gedeón.

To this he added that an attempt was made to prevent vaccines from being administered to the Venezuelan population in the midst of a pandemic, which is evidence of total neo-fascism.

“What they did on July 28, 29 and 30 is unforgivable by God,” he emphasized before the diplomatic corps (…) You hire and pay an influencer to brainwash and justify an invasion, a serial murder, an assassination,” said Saab.

He explained that the fraudulent actions were prepared since the primaries were held, in which they even went so far as to burn the minutes a few hours after they were held.

There was even a question about why someone who was disqualified from participating in the primaries was allowed to register.

He also pointed out that due to the roadblocks, two fatal accidents occurred, killing two people who were on their way home, so he believes that in reality the violence caused the deaths of 27 people as a result of post-election violence.
