The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, held a meeting with representatives of the international team of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet.
The meeting took place this Thursday and the information was offered by the Prosecutor through the social network Twitter.
He specified that the Public Ministry (MP) and the UN are making progress in guaranteeing the protection and defense of human rights in the country.
“At the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, a positive evaluation and coordination meeting with the Oacbudh international team, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, advancing on issues of protection and defense of human rights,” Saab said.
Bachelet’s office maintains coordination with authorities of the Venezuelan State, which have made recommendations to guarantee the human rights of Venezuelans.
Despite the reports with biased criteria against the country, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has reiterated his cooperation with the multilateral body.
