The candidate for president, Efraín Alegre denounced that armed persons threatened the representatives of the National Concertation. This was denied by the Commander and the General Director of Prevention of the National Police.
In this regard, the commander of the National Police, Commissioner Gilberto Fleitas denied the alleged entry of armed persons inside a polling station set up in the Yby Pytá school, located in the district that bears the same name in the department of Canindeyú.
“The area commissioner is already making it clear to the media that there is no incident, there is no complaint on this issue, we are not seeing that”, expressed the commander in an interview with GEN / Media Nation.
In this context, the commissioner explained that three stores were set up in the Yby Pytá district and that the voting proceeds calmly without any mishap.

On this point, Commissioner Carlos Benítez, General Director of Police Prevention, also denied the complaint made by the candidate of the National Concertation.
“We have no complaint that is related to this type of event. We are working in coordination and we do not have information about it up to this minute from the officers who are located in the polling stations, at different tables,” said police chief Benítez in dialogue with 1000 AM.
He noted that the Police Command is processing all the information available at the country level, detailing that the schools authorized for suffrage in the aforementioned town are Santa Luisa, Julia Agassi and San Franciscowhere no incidents are recorded.
