The Attorney General in charge, Javier Caraballo, revealed this Saturday that the complaint presented by the magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ), Cecilio Cedalise, for the leak of a draft ruling on an unconstitutional action in the telephone punctures case, is being verified.
He added that competencies and requirements regarding the complaint must be verified, and then make known who has the competence to investigate this type of crime.
On Thursday afternoon, Cedalise filed a criminal complaint with the Public Ministry, for the disclosure of the draft ruling that grants a claim of unconstitutionality filed by former President Ricardo Martinelli in the case of the telephone taps.
It was known that Cedalise denounced the possible commission of a crime.
The magistrate pointed out that, although the facts were transferred to the presiding magistrate Luis Ramón Fábrega and that he informed him that the leak was “despicable, reprehensible and reprehensible”, he did not accompany him to present this complaint.
“I have come to comply with an obligation and a right imposed on me by the regulatory system, since this behavior does not magnify or allow the proper administration of justice,” he stressed at the time.
