Santo Domingo.– The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) announced that it will carry out preventive maintenance work on the Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metrofrom this Saturday, January 10 to Sunday, January 25, at night, which will imply an early closing starting at 8:00 at night in the section between Gregorio Urbano Gilbert and Mamá Tingó stations.
OPRET explained in a statement that this maintenance is part of the actions aimed at guaranteeing the safety, efficiency and continuity of the mass transportation system.
To facilitate the mobility of users affected by the early closure, the institution reported that it will have bus units from the Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA), which will operate free of charge on the intervened route.
