The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during his Zona Digital segment on his program Con Maduro+, denounced that the attempted coup d’état in Honduras by the United States seeks to end progressive governments in the region. “That is why they are targeting our sister Xiomara Castro, we have given her all our support.”
“They have a policy of having absolute control and they are moving their allies from the extreme right, from the fascist oligarchies, to put an end to any progressive experience, so that they go beyond their canons and their mandates. That is why they are targeting our sister President Xiomara Castro, but she is a very brave woman, she is a leader and she has at her side a giant of Latin America like Manuel Zelaya,” he added.
In another context, in the international arena, he stressed that Venezuela has more than 70 investors from the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), and beyond this it has opportunities for investments in oil, gas and petrochemicals. “Venezuela cannot be taken out of the energy equation. Today we are better valued and ready for them to invest because we are the guarantee of energy stability in the world,” he said.
He also said that the Yuan is a real currency, not based on speculative paper, but rather a generator of wealth. “China is today the great economic, technological and commercial power in the world.
