The Police apprehended two people, who tried to rob a casino located in Tocumen, East Panama.
The criminals arrived at the casino aboard a vehicle and without saying a word fired at the police units, who responded with their regulation weapon to mitigate the threat, the Police said.
Deputy Commissioner Matías Batista, head of the Don Bosco Police Zone, said that the men fled, leaving the abandoned vehicle meters ahead, in the Santa Eduviges sector.
When verifying the vehicle where these antisocials were traveling, it was learned that there was a complaint of robbery with a firearm against a person on Domingo Díaz Avenue.
The National Police assured that it maintains preventive actions to combat criminal acts and thus provide an environment of healthy coexistence.
