Subjects attacked the station with firearms Bolivarian National Police (PNB) located in Las Tejerías, Aragua.
The attack took place on Sunday afternoon-night, simultaneously against the PNB command and the central area of the aforementioned Aragonese town, according to the testimony of the uniformed officers.
The shots came from the mountainous areas that surround the town, specifically the hills surrounding the El Béisbol neighborhood, the sources said.
Faced with this situation, agents from the Rural Commando Detachment of the Bolivarian National Guard went to the site to repel the attack, a deployment that kept the criminal group at bay.
Subsequently, armored units from the PNB Strategic and Tactical Actions Directorate (Daet) arrived with approximately 200 men who took up positions at key points in Las Tejerías.
So far there is no report of victims caused by the attack.
Rabbit
Las Tejerías is the operations center of the criminal organization founded by Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez (Rabbit), whose members dispersed after February 8, 2022 when security organizations deployed Operation Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro. Precisely that day, Carlos Revette, alias El Koki, one of the leaders of the criminal structure that operated in Cota 905, Caracas, who had joined an alliance with El Conejo, was killed.
After that Operation, El Conejo and his men fled through the rural areas of the José Rafael Revenga municipality, that is, El Consejo, Sabaneta, El Pao and Quebrada Seca, among others. At one of those points he was rescued by men sent from the Aragua Penitentiary Center, located in Tocorón, where the Tren de Aragua organization operates, police sources revealed.
Until now, the authorities have not specified whether the attack on the PNB post on Sunday was carried out by the El Conejo gang or the Tren de Aragua.
