The Buenos Aires Federal Chamber ordered, this Friday, to expand the analysis of the cell phones of two advisers of the PRO deputy Gerardo Milman, by accepting a proposal by the defense of Cristina Kirchnerin the case that investigates the assassination attempt against him.
In principle, Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti had denied the request for the complaint of the vice presidentbut the Court of Appeals reversed this decision and accepted the request of the lawyers of Cristina Kirchner.
The complaint of Cristina Kirchnerled by Marcos Aldazabal and José Manuel Ubeira, had requested the “extension of the proposed time frame” for the cell phones of Milman’s advisers to be analyzed.
In this way, the expertise would be carried out on messages sent between July 1 and December 1, 2022, which was authorized by chambermaids Leopoldo Bruglia and Pablo Bertuzzi.
The judges warned that the expertise must be carried out “as the complaint itself has suggested, under precise jurisdictional control and the Public Prosecutor’s Office and with the restriction of absolute confidentiality of all information that is not strictly related to the case.”
And they highlighted: “Taking into account the guidelines outlined and the institutional seriousness of the fact investigated here, it becomes necessary to produce the evidentiary proceedings that may be relevant and useful for the investigation of the truth, sparing no effort and with the urgency of the case. “.
It should be remembered that Capuchetti had authorized the analysis on cell phones to be carried out after August 30, days prior to the attack on the vice president and when, according to a witness, Milman’s advisers talked about the attack in a bar.
What will be sought in the expertise
The judges explained that the measure would serve to determine whether Milman had participated in the planning of the attackgiven that, according to the witness, he would have mentioned in the bar with his advisers “when they kill her I will be on my way to the coast.”
“It seems reasonable that the search for the information contained in the telephone sets seized from Ivana Bohdziewicz and Carolina Elizabeth Gómez Mónaco should be carried out, which will have to be limited to corroborating or ruling out the existence of any mention of the statements that, according to the witness Abello, Gerardo Milman would have uttered on the day of August 30, 2022 and/or any mention or text that may be linked to the attack.”
