Attack against the military canton of Arauca leaves a uniformed man injured

A new attack occurred on Monday night in Saravena, Arauca, when men attacked the San Jorge Military Canton with explosives, which left a wounded uniformed man as a balance.

The Eighth Division of the National Army, through a statement issued in the last few hours, confirmed the attack.

“In the last few hours, in a cowardly terrorist action that transgresses the provisions of international humanitarian law and violates human rights, The San Jorge Military Canton, located in the municipality of Saravena, department of Arauca, was attacked with explosive devices.”indicated the Chiron Task Force Command.

The soldier who was injured, and whose identity has not been revealed, was treated by a medical team from the canton and then he was transferred to a medical center in the region.

“As a result of this criminal attack, one of our senior soldiers was wounded with shrapnel, who He was immediately helped by military rescuers and evacuated to a medical center in the municipality of Saravena, where he is stable.”, quotes the document.
